Today is Travel Day. I am currently writing this from my connecting flight from Atlanta, Georgia to JFK, New York. I am so excited! We left at 4:55 this morning to go to our flight in Atlanta from Gainesville, GA. We got to our gate and everything was so smooth for us. We got on the plane and now we are comfortably enjoying the ride.

My team and I should be getting to the Dominican Republic around 5:45 EST. I’m looking forward to actually getting the opportunity to get to our host in order to see what we will be doing for the next two months.

Here is what is currently going through my mind. I am very anxious to get there but I also have this resounding peace from God. He has literally brought me to the peaceful streams.

“The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name.”

Psalms 23:1-3

I just have then sense of guidance but also knowledge that God is working hard to keep us on the path that he has for us! This is massive because of the change that I am currently going through. For most, they do not know that this is my very first mission trip. I’m a little frightened (haha). The thing is, I know that God is in control through every single thing that I can even imagine. I would like to think that I know everything under the sun but I would be foolish. God has definitely opened my eyes when it comes to showing me more than I could ever imagine.

“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.”

Ephesians 3:20-21

It amazes me every single time that God works mightier things than what we can see. It pushes me to know Him more and myself less. It shows me that through everything I can rely on Him more than anything else. I’m so thankful for those that are supporting me! It really means so much and I can not express to you the amount of love that I have for each and every single one of you. Please keep my team and I in your prayers as we encounter this journey together and for God to guide us to what He needs us to do in order to get the Gospel to all the corners of the earth.

We made it to the Dominican Republic!!!! We got in around 7 tonight and needless to say it’s been an experience already! I’ll be posting updates probably next week!

I have around $1,200-$1,800 left to fundraise for this trip! I would love for prayers for God to fund the rest as we are on this trip! If you have any questions please do not hesitate to email me at [email protected]. If God leads you to donate, pray, or even send an email just know that anything helps me and my team! We will be working hard for the communities that we are in so know that WE are dedicated to spreading the Gospel! Please stay in tune with my blogs for consistent updates throughout this God-led journey.
